At the beginning of July 1995, the War in Bosnia was marked by a genocide, when the troops of General Ratko Mladic captured the enclave of Srebrenica and Potocari. More than 8.000 people were killed in a few days. The operation was later condemned as a war crime by the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.
